Sales Rise For Premier Inn and Costa Coffee

Whitbread Plc have stated that they have seen a rise in sales in the third quarter due to demand at its Costa Coffee shops and Premier Inn hotels.
The group said like-for-like sales increased 4.3% in the 13 weeks to November 28, while total sales grew 13.8%.
Like-for-likes sales at its biggest division, Premier Inn, increased 5.4% and 13.7% in total. Costa sales rose 4.9% which is slightly above the estimated 4.8%.
Whitbread plans to increase Premier's room numbers from 53,914 to about 75,000 by 2018. It also plans to double Costa Coffee sales globally.
