Sandymount Hotel Gains Fourth Star Following €6m Investment

Sandymount Hotel on Dublin's southside has just received its fourth star from Failte Ireland.

With a significant transformation and growth from a four-bedroom B&B to a 168 bedroom hotel over the past seven decades, the hotel said its delighted to be recognised and awarded its fourth star.

Founded in 1955 by the Loughran Family, the hotel is currently owned and run by second generation family member John, with his son Gerard Loughran as Director.

In recent years, the hotel has seen various changes and most recently with an extensive €6 million refurbishment all 168 of its bedrooms were carefully renovated and redesigned.
