The Killarney Park Hotel Plans Major Enhancement Programme

The team at the Killarney Park Hotel has announced that it will commence a significant renewal and refurbishment programme in late winter 2024 and into early spring 2025.

The independent, family-owned five-star hotel and member of the Leading Hotels of the World has committed to a multimillion-euro investment, with a series of enhancements that will commence in early November.

This follows an initial development investment that included a renovation of the hotel lobby and public areas, and a new look for its fine-dining restaurant, the Peregrine.

‘Ambitious Vision’

“We are very excited to announce our extensive reinvestment programme, which will include an exceptional redesign of our bedrooms and suites,” said Marcus Treacy, general manager at the Killarney Park Hotel.

“The overall design brief was to create a sense of place, reflective of our incredible location, and having narrowed it down to two Irish interior architect companies based on their exceptional design ideas, we are delighted to announce that MDO Architects have been appointed to realise our ambitious vision.”

‘Transformational Refurbishment’

The planned works will include a ‘transformational refurbishment’ of all bedrooms and suites, increasing the current room count to 74.

The hotel grounds will undergo major work, including a total redesign and landscaping of the gardens, so hotel views will be amplified. Other works include a revamp of the Garden Bar and Terrace, and a full redesign of the hotel’s award-winning spa.

Sustainability

“Sustainability is also a key focus for the Killarney Park Hotel, and all elements of the redesign and construction will have this philosophy at its core, alongside our cherished reputation as the Irish heart of hospitality, as we continue to offer our guests the personalised service that we are renowned for,” said Treacy.

The Killarney Park will also be announcing other developments over the coming months, once key elements of the design and construction process have been finalised.
