Twelve Hotel Named 'Hotel Of The Year' At Georgina Campbell Awards

Co. Galway's Twelve Hotel took home the accolade for Hotel of the Year at the 2018 Georgina Campbell Awards, which took place at Bord Bia's Thinking House in Dublin on Tuesday 3 October.

The four-star venue in Bearna came out on top thanks to its "fresh, youthful style and an exceptionally focused food and wine offering" that's conveniently located for residents of, and visitors to, both Galway City and Connemara, reports the Irish Independent.

Other winners at the event included Dax in Dublin, which was named Restaurant of the Year, Dromoland Castle's David McCann, who was awarded the title of Chef of the Year, and Beryl and James Kearney and Gary O'Hanlon of Longford's Viewmount House, who received a Hospitality Hero award for their contributions to the Irish food and hospitality industries.
