Jurys Inn Celebrates Record Five Million Guests In 2016
Across the 12 months of 2016, Jurys Inn experienced a 13.6 per cent (year-on-year) rise in international visitors, with September being the strongest month (+37.8 per cent year-on-year).
Argentina was the biggest source of international tourism for Jurys Inn in Ireland with exponential growth of 124 per cent from 2015 to 2016. According to JI data, growth was most predominant in Q1 2016. In particular, March was the strongest month with 15.6 per cent growth year-on-year. This was mainly driven by international tourism (+22.59 per cent), as well as domestic tourism (+17.21 per cent).
With over 7,300 rooms across 36 hotels (31 hotels in the UK, four in Ireland and one in Prague) Amaris Hospitality, the hotel group that owns and manages Jurys Inn, has spent €50 million over the last 24 months rebranding, renovating and extending the Jurys Inn portfolio.
According to analysis of the CSO by Jurys Inn, the total number of overseas trips to Ireland increased 10 per cent year-on-year to 9,584,400, mirroring the strong growth experienced by the hotel. Jurys Inn top 5 countries, growth-wise, for inbound tourism were Argentina; Czech Republic; Portugal; Germany; and the United States.
Amaris Hospitality has 7,380 rooms, employs over 8,000 people and the last set of complete financial figures, for 2015, saw revenue across Jury Inn increase by 9 per cent to £193 million, with EBITDA growing by 14 per cent to £56.2 million.
