The Chawke Pub Group has temporarily laid off 300 of its employees.
As reported by rte.ie, The group, which operates Dublin pubs The Goat, The Old Orchard Inn, Searsons, The Bank, The Lord Lucan, The Oval Bar and The Dropping Well as well as two venues in Limerick, employs a total of 360 people, 60 of whom have not been temporarily laid off.
Restrictions Due To Rise In COVID-19 Cases
The group's Dublin pubs are currently closed due to restrictions implemented to help slow the spread of COVID-19 in the capital, where cases of the virus have risen sharply.
