The Old Orchard Inn of Rathfarnham in south Dublin has recorded earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) of €1.12 million for last year.

The pub's EDITDA increased last year from €1.096 million in 2017.

Meanwhile, its post-tax profits came to €362,549 last year.

Wine And Tapas Bar

The Old Orchard Inn, which was purchased for €22 million by publican Charlie Chawke 14 years ago and is operated by Chawke's daughter, Ali, recently launched a wine and tapas bar.

The Irish Times quotes Chawke as saying, "[The wine and tapas bar] was Ali’s idea and it has been very successful since it opened a couple of months ago. It replaced the off-licence. That wasn’t making any money as it couldn’t compete with the supermarkets."
