Lidl Selling Site In Dublin With Permission For Development Of A Pub

Supermarket chain Lidl is hoping to receive €550,000 from the sale of a site that has planning permission for the construction of a 5,400 square foot single storey pub on part of the site formerly occupied by the Belgard Inn in the Dublin suburb of Tallaght.

Lidl demolished the former Belgard Inn and built a new store on the site. A purchaser of the land currently being offered for sale by Lidl will need to acquire a liquor licence if they intend to open a new pub on the site.

An Opportunity To Develop A Pub In A Densely Populated Area

According to The Irish Independent, John Ryan of commercial real estate services and investment firm CBRE stated that the sale of the site presents an opportunity to develop a pub in a densely populated area where a lot of commercial activity occurs during the day.
