Wetherspoon Acquires Freehold Of Belfast's Revolucion De Cuba Venue

Pub group JD Wetherspoon has acquired the freehold of the Revolucion de Cuba bar and restaurant in Belfast, but is allowing the business to continue to trade.

Revolucion de Cuba is located in a former bank building on Belfast's Arthur Street.

"A Long-Term Investment"

Talking to The Belfast Telegraph, Wetherspoon chairman Tim Martin said, "We have bought the freehold of Revolucion de Cuba, but it's a long-term investment. Revolucion has a long time left on its lease."

Revolucion de Cuba has 23 years left on its lease and Martin told The Belfast Telegraph that Wetherspoon is "highly unlikely" to seek to trade from the premises during that period.
