Deliveroo has announced the introduction of a new real-time dispatch algorithm into its services that will cut its average delivery times in Ireland to just seven minutes.
According to the Irish Independent, the food delivery firm's new software uses predictive technology to assess the quickest and most effective method of distributing orders based on the whereabouts of restaurants, riders and customers and their proximity to one another.
This will allow Deliveroo's riders to make more deliveries each hour and earn more money.
Deliveroo Ireland general manager Liam Keenan commented: "Deliveroo's technology is helping us to create the world's best food delivery service. Our new algorithm will continually refine itself, improving the experience for our Irish riders, restaurants and customers."
