Fallon & Byrne's Plans To Open Flagship Outlet In Dundrum Put Under Review

Fallen & Byrne has placed its plans to open a flagship food hall, delicatessen and restaurant at Dublin's Dundrum Town Centre under review.

A spokesperson for Fallon & Byrne told The Irish Times, "Fallon & Byrne is focussed on expanding our innovative offering at Exchequer Street and that is where we see the most potential for growth in the short to medium term.

"This comes following the recent granting of planning permission by An Bord Pleanála for the expansion of our building at Exchequer Street. Our successful Dún Laoghaire outlet also continues to operate as normal."

Addressing the company's plans for the proposed Dundrum flagship outlet, the spokesperson added, "All other business expansion plans are currently being reviewed."

Dundrum Town Centre Owner Expectation

Despite Fallon & Byrne's statement, a spokesperson for Dundrum Town Centre owner Hammerson told The Irish Times that the company expects the handover of Fallon & Byrne's premises at the shopping centre to be completed by the end of April and said, "We have signed a lease agreement with Fallon & Byrne. The new store and restaurant will be a modern interpretation of the historic redbrick cottages, providing a unique backdrop to the [shopping centre's] Pembroke Square environment."
