Firebyrd To Open Restaurant In Dun Laoghaire

The owners of Firebyrd, the American Hot Chicken restaurant, have announced they will be opening a new outlet in Dun Laoghaire.

Firebyrd serves American Hot Chicken with all the American classics from wings, tenders and burgers to unique items like totchos.

Hot Sauce

The restaurant sources local fresh ingredients and imports the American classics.

Firebyrd has over 200 different sauces available and works with a number of small craft hot sauce makers to create different varieties.

Real Southern Cooking

The owners Ashley & Peter met in Ashley’s hometown of Atlanta.

As the relationship grew, they dreamed of bringing real Southern cooking to Peter’s home in Ireland.

In 2020 Firebyrd opened a restaurant in Ranelagh, Dublin.

Dun Laoghaire

"We are happy to announce that we will be opening our second location later this year!!!," Firebyrd posted on Instagram.

"This is our new store front in Dun Laoghaire! Thank you to everyone for making this happen, we can’t wait to see you there!"

Menu

The Ranelagh location is open seven days a week and the menu includes wings, tenders, wraps, burgers, totchos and loaded waffles.

Side dishes include fries, cajun fries, tator tots, waffle fries and coleslaw. Popular hot sauces include Big Reds, Mic's Chilli, Hellfire and Blonde Beard's Buffalo sauce.

Prepared Fresh

The owners of Firebyrd say every plate is prepared fresh everytime and they pride themselves on making everything from scratch.

Details of the new Dun Laoghaire restaurant will be announced on social media soon.

According to Firebyrd's website, "Back in 1930's Nashville, Tennesse, a scorned woman was looking for revenge on her cheating husband. She doused his chicken with hot spices. It backfired and he loved it. And so did everyone else..."
