Ireland's Favourite Takeaways Revealed At 2017 Just Eat National Takeaway Awards

Letterkenny's Mexican takeaway, Burrito Loco, took home three trophies, including that for"Best Takeaway in Ireland", at the Just Eat National Takeaway Awards on the evening of Tuesday October 17. The two other accolades with which it was bestowed were for "Best Takeaway (Lunchtime)" and "Best Takeaway (Ulster)".

As reported by The Irish Times, Thai Green Curry was named "Ireland's favorite dish" at the event, while Lin Kee in Swords was declared to have the country's "Best Spice Bag", Camile Thai in the Dublin suburb of Phibsborough won the award for "Best Thai Takeaway" and Ballymun's Firehouse Pizza won "Best Pizza".

Just Eat Ireland managing director Amanda Roche asserted, "As the takeaway sector continues to diversify and expand, the scope for these awards can only increase. I would particularly like to say a huge congratulations to Burrito Loco, who scooped the overall prize this year as well as winning in two other categories.
