KFC Pauses Use Of 'Finger Lickin' Good' Slogan Due To COVID-19 Pandemic

KFC has paused to the use of its "finger lickin' good" slogan due to the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.

As reported by The Irish Times, the fast food chain, which has been using the slogan for 64 years, said that the slogan "doesn't quite fit" following the onset of the pandemic and that the slogan will return "when the time is right".

"A Unique Situation"

The Irish Times quotes KFC global chief marketing officer Catherine Tan-Gillespie as saying, "We find ourselves in a unique situation - having an iconic slogan that doesn't quite fit in the current environment.

"While we are pausing the use of 'It's finger lickin' good', rest assured the food craved by so many people around the world isn't changing one bit."
