Krispy Kreme To Open First Irish Outlet In Blanchardstown, Dublin

American donut chain Krispy Kreme has announced that it will open its first outlet in Ireland at the Blanchardstown Centre in Dublin 15.

As reported by The Irish Independent, the news of the company’s choice of location arrives over a year after it was revealed that Krispy Kreme was investigating potential sites to expand its operations into the Irish market.

In the eleven months to the start of January 2017, Krispy Kreme recorded a pre-tax profit of £10.3 million (€11.4 million) in the UK, on revenue of £66.6 million (€74.1 million). The North Carolina based firm currently operates approximately 1,200 stores worldwide, about 90 of which are in Britain. The opening date for its Blanchardstown store is still pending.
