The restaurateur behind steak and seafood venue Brookwood on Dublin's Baggot Street, Laura Peat, has purchased the former Boqueria premises on Church Street in the Dublin suburb of Howth for approximately €875,000.

According to The Sunday Times, Peat has acquired some wealthy backers in the form of private equity moguls Peter Crowley and Neill Hughes, who bought superyacht manufacturer Sunseeker for €35 million in 2010, tidied it up and subsequently sold it to Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda for €350 million in 2013.
