Manet Property Developments To Develop New Restaurant In Belfast

Manet Property Developments has been given the green light to develop a new restaurant and office space at 7-9 Wellington Place in Belfast.

As reported by The Irish News, Manet Propoerty Developments has received planning permission to refurbish the listed building at 7-9 Wellington Place, which is one of three original buildings on the street that are over two centuries old, and develop a restaurant/café on its ground floor as well as office and break-out space on the three floors above.

Manet's plans primarily focus on the currently vacant 9 Wellington Place, but also include a rear extension to 7 Wellington Place, which currently houses interior design consultancy Atelier Design and an Oasis gaming outlet.

The planning process involved consultation with the Historic Environment Division (HED), which signed off on Manet's plans following several reviews.

"A Welcomed Restoration To A Prominent Listed Building"

The plans were subsequently approved by Belfast City Council, which The Irish News quotes as saying, "The proposed works are considered a welcomed restoration to a prominent listed building in the city centre and relevant consultees are satisfied."
