Nando's Looks To Expand In Ireland Despite Drop In Pre-Tax Profits

New accounts for Nando's Chickenland Ireland Ltd have revealed that the restaurant firm's pre-tax profits decreased from €4.07 million to €3.98 million during the year that ended on February 25.

Meanwhile, the firm's revenues rose 6% to €26.93 million during the period and its operating profits increased 30% to €4.23 million. Additionally, the number of people employed by the company rose from 433 to 459 and staff costs increased to €9.28 million.

Looking For More Sites

Despite the drop in pre-tax profits, the company's directors stated that it will to continue to look for more sites to open additional Nando's restaurants in Ireland, where appropriate, as reported by The Irish Independent.
