Nando's Will Trial New Food Sources For Chickens To Reduce Carbon Emissions

Restaurant chain Nando's has revealed that it is planning to trial feeding chickens algae and insects in a bid to help reduce its carbon emissions.

Reduce Reliance On Soy

The company plans to investigate alternative sources of food for chickens to reduce its reliance on soy, which contributes to deforestation.

"Ambitious New Commitments"

The Irish Times quotes Nando's UK and Ireland chief executive Colin Hill as saying, "We are launching ambitious new commitments which will set a strong example for what our industry can do to make a genuine difference."
