New McDonald's Drive-Through Opens In Knocknagoney, Co. Down

McDonald's has opened a new two-storey dual-lane drive-through restaurant in Knocknagoney, Co. Down, creating 65 jobs.

The restaurant has seating for up to 156 people and offers table service as well as mobile ordering, which allows customers to save their preferences for future orders.

"Digital Innovation"

The Belfast Telegraph quotes McDonald's franchisee Des Lamph as saying, "Digital innovation is at the heart of the new restaurant featuring a host of customer facing technology including eight touch screen kiosks allowing customers to browse the menu, order their food and pay by card or contactless.

"New technology also extends through to the kitchen, adapting how the food is prepared and served so that products are made specially to order."
