Press Up Group Considering Expanding To The UK

Irish hospitality group Press Up Entertainment is setting its sights on expanding into the UK, with its Wowburger and Elephant & Castle restaurant businesses being the most obvious aspects of the company that could be introduced into Britain within the next half decade, according to market sources.

A spokesperson for Press Up confirmed to The Irish Times that the company is considering UK expansion, with its boutique hotel operation also said to be a viable option for launch in the UK.

The news follows last week's revelation that members of the McKillen family along with top management at Press Up are contemplating raising up to €60 million of fresh equity in an initial public offering in a bid to keep a controlling stake of the company.
