Travel Software Firm Datalex Records 42% Decrease In Revenue

Irish travel software firm Datalex's revenue decreased by 42% to $13.2 million during the first six months of 2020.

Meanwhile, Datalex's platform revenue decreased by 43% to $7.7 million; the firm experienced an adjusted earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) loss of $1.3 million during the period; and its total operating costs before exceptional items declined 47% to $15.6 million.

Like-For-Like Basis Revenue And Projected EBITDA For 2020

Datalex said that, on a like-for-like basis, the COVID-19 crisis resulted in a 29% decrease in revenue during the six month period, and that it is on track to deliver EBITDA of between $750,000 and $1.5 million for 2020, despite the challenges that its airline industry customers are facing due to the continuing COVID-19 crisis, as reported by The Irish Independent.
