US ride share firm Uber has announced plans to start operating its food delivery in Dublin in 2018, with potential clients including McDonald's and Krispy Kreme.

While the launch date for Uber Eats Ireland has yet to be determined, a spokesperson for company said, "We’re really excited that soon we’ll be able to offer our Uber Eats app to consumers and restaurants in Ireland. Uber Eats has proved hugely popular in more than 200 cities around the world and we know that Dubliners have already been downloading the app in anticipation."

Uber Eats intends to deliver orders within approximately 30 minutes of customers placing them by way of workers who use both conventional bikes and motorcycles.
