Rémy Cointreau Posts Reported Growth Of 6.1% In H1

Drinks giant Rémy Cointreau has posted consolidated sales of €500.7 million for the first half of the year, which the group says indicates reported growth of 6.1%.

However, organically, the group saw a decline in sales of 5.9% in the period to 30 September. Net profit stood at €68.6 million in the period.

Its premium Rémy Martin brand saw a sales decline of 3.1% to stand at €313.1 million. Sales were up in the US, but declined in the Asia-Pacific region.

Its Liqueurs and Spirits division, which includes Cointreau, saw its sales fall 8.3% to €129.9 million.

“The Group achieved consolidated sales of €500.7 million for the first six months to 30 September 2015, achieving reported growth of 6.1%, but down organically by 5.9%,” the company said in a statement.

“This downtrend was mainly attributable to technical effects that affected shipments, in connection with the implementation of the Group's 2019/20 strategic plan.”
