Bord Bia Calls On Chefs To Celebrate The Versatility Of Eggs

Bord Bia and the Irish Egg Association are calling on professional chefs to embrace the culinary versatility and value of eggs by featuring them on menus beyond breakfast and brunch with the chance of winning a prize.

"Eggs For Anytime"

As part of Bord Bia’s "Eggs for Anytime" campaign, professional chefs and cooks around Ireland are being encouraged to devise their most creative recipe featuring Bord Bia Quality Assured eggs, then submit the recipe to Bord Bia and feature the dish on their menus with the chance of winning the aforementioned prize. The only two conditions are that the recipe cannot be a breakfast or brunch dish or feature on a breakfast or brunch menu.

The winning dish will be chosen by Bord Bia along with food and hospitality writer Georgina Campbell. The prize includes publication of the recipe in a national newspaper, a €500 One4All Voucher and €500 to spend in an Irish hotel or restaurant of the winner’s choosing.

Four regional runners-up will also receive prizes worth €250 each. 

All entries must be accompanied by a photo of the finished dish and submitted online at by 12 noon on Tuesday April 29.
