Trinity College Appoints Sodexo As New Catering Partner

Services company Sodexo has been awarded a catering contract worth €1 million a year from Trinity College Dublin.

Trinity chief operating officer Geraldine Ruane said, “Trinity is delighted to work with Sodexo as our new catering partner providing a new café concept on campus extending our food offerings to our students, staff and visitors.”

Sodexo’s contract includes a complete refurbishment of the Arts Building café, introducing a bespoke café concept – The Perch – which will refocus and refresh the space, putting in a new selection of new food offers and providing new seating to increase capacity.

Sodexo will aim to make the space work harder, so that it becomes a social hub for students on campus and will work closely with local suppliers to offer food that is fresh and ethically-sourced, whilst still competitively-priced.

Sodexo Ireland is a leading provider of food and facilities management services to clients in business and industry, education, financial services and healthcare. It employs approximately 3,700 staff in over 230 locations across Ireland, serves 90,000 people daily and spent over €19 million on Irish food in 2016.

Last year, NUI Galway awarded Sodexo its first Irish university catering contract when it was appointed to manage the 720-seater An Bhialann restaurant.
