Dublin Airport has lost connections to 115 cities as a result of the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
According to The Irish Independent, the number of cities to which Dublin Airport operates scheduled flights has decreased from 200 before the pandemic began to 85 at present.
The CEO of Dublin Airport operator DAA, Dalton Philips, reportedly said in a briefing to staff that an average of 10,000 passengers used the airport every day in December of 2020.
The UK reportedly remained the airport's main market in December, but the number of passengers who journeyed to or arrived from the UK via Dublin Airport reportedly decreased by 92% year-on-year last month.
