Dublin Airport's Passenger Traffic Decreased By 56% In September When Compared To Pre-COVID-19 Pandemic Levels

The number of people that passed through Dublin Airport decreased by 56% in September when compared to pre-COVID-19 pandemic levels in 2019, to close to 1.35 million.

Europe, UK And North America Traffic

Passenger volumes to and from continental Europe declined by 47% compared to pre-pandemic levels in the ninth month of the year to 888,052 people while passenger traffic to and from the UK declined by 59% compared to pre-pandemic levels to 341,206 passengers, and transatlantic passenger traffic declined by 78% to close to 98,000 passengers.

Other International And Domestic Traffic

Meanwhile, other international passenger traffic to and from the Middle East declined by 80% compared to pre-pandemic 2019 levels in September to 17,000 passengers, and the number of people who travelled on domestic routes last month declined by 43% compared to 5,400.

First Nine Months

The number of people who passed through Dublin Airport during the first nine months of 2021 declined by 83% compared to the same period in 2019 to close to 4.3 million.
