Fáilte Ireland Launches New Ancient East Tourism Campaign

Fáilte Ireland has launched a new campaign aimed at encouraging Irish people to take a break in Ireland's Ancient East this autumn in the hopes of boosting tourism businesses in the region through the traditionally quieter autumn months.

Over the next six weeks, the campaign will showcase commercials, which can be viewed below, on a number national television channels, as well as an assortment of audio and visual advertisements on various radio stations and digital display units visible in heavy footfall areas such as St. Stephen's Green, Dundrum Town Centre and Dublin's Connolly Station. It is estimated that the campaign will reach more than three million Irish residents.

Commenting on the campaign, Fáilte Ireland CEO Paul Kelly said, “The domestic market is an important market for Irish tourism, and an area of particular focus for Fáilte Ireland as we work on building tourism numbers beyond the summer months. If Irish tourism businesses are to be able to sustain themselves for longer periods throughout the year, create more jobs and deliver more revenue, it is important for us to deliver growth in the home market.”
