Fáilte Ireland has announced that it has developed a range of free employee well-being supports to help people who work in the hospitality and tourism sectors on both a professional and personal level during the COVID-19 crisis.
Fáilte Ireland's head of enterprise & hospitality development Martina Bromley stated, "It is hugely important that we look after our mental health in these unprecedented times. Tourism business owners and those working in the industry face deep uncertainty about the future of their businesses and jobs. The anxiety and worry that COVID-19 is causing is immense, so, in response, we have launched well-being supports to help tourism businesses and their employees, as well as those who have unfortunately lost their jobs, through this difficult period."
Fáilte Ireland's new well-being supports include:
I Am Here
Operated in partnership with PulseLearning, the "I Am Here: Rapid Response" service offers a programme of mental health support and learning within the workplace and beyond to empower employers and employees to have conversations about mental health.
This service can be accessed via irishtourismarena.iamheretribe.com.
Counselling And Support
Fáilte Ireland has partnered with Inspire Workplaces to offer free and confidential access to an employee assistance programme. The programme is available to tourism business owners, employees and people who are self-employed in the industry.
Inspire Workplaces offers well-being supports and counselling services as well as advice on financial concerns and legal issues.
Businesses and employees can access this range of services by calling a freephone helpline, the number of which is 1800 201 346. Those that call will need to mention Fáilte Ireland when accessing the service to ensure that the services are provided free of charge.
Additionally, visit inspiresupporthub.org, click the purple sign up icon on the homepage and, where prompted, enter the unique Fáilte Ireland PIN: "COFIHUB!".
