New Year’s Festival Dublin To Feature Three Countdown Events

Now in its seventh year, New Year's Festival Dublin (NYF Dublin) has announced three New Year’s Eve events to ring in 2019. A Fáilte Ireland and Dublin City Council initiative, produced and promoted by MCD Productions, The Custom House will serve as the centre of the festival's three countdown events - Liffey Lights Midnight Moment - Matinee, the 3Countdown Concert and the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment.

Liffey Lights Midnight Moment and the family-friendly Liffey Lights Midnight Moment – Matinee are free events, but tickets need to be booked in advance, with booking details due to be announced at the end of November.

Programme Of Events

The Liffey Lights Midnight Moment will take place against the backdrop of the Custom House and feature a showcase of lasers and aqua beams, with live DJs and percussionists performing on the water. The free event will start at 11.30pm.

Meanwhile, the Liffey Lights Midnight Moment - Matinee will start at 6pm and lead up to the earlier countdown at 7pm. Families will be able to watch as laser lights and aqua beams dance through the sky in rhythm with music.

Additionally, Gavin James has been announced as the headliner for the 3Countdown Concert at Custom House with special guests Hudson Taylor, Wild Youth and Inhaler. Tickets are priced €29.90.
