Ryanair Announces Additional Flights For European Challenge Cup And Heineken Cup Finals

Ryanair has announced additional flights for flights the Rugby European Challenge Cup final and the Heineken Champions Cup final.

According to a statement published on Corporate.Ryanair.com, the additional flights are from Glasgow to Dublin at 14.00 on 19 May, from La Rochelle to Dublin at 18.30 on 19 May, from Dublin to Glasgow at 21.45 on 20 May, and from Dublin to La Rochelle at 16.25 on 21 May.

Statement

The statement published on Corporate.Ryanair.com quoted Jade Kirwan of Ryanair as saying, "We've had record bookings from rugby fans travelling this year for what is set to be spectacular European Challenge Cup final and Heineken Champions Cup final, both taking place in Dublin this month. To fulfil this overwhelming demand, we have added extra flights across routes from to/from Ireland, Scotland, and France, including Glasgow - Dublin, Dublin - Glasgow as well as La Rochelle - Dublin and Dublin - La Rochelle.

"While we're adding additional flights, we expect these seats to sell out fast and encourage all rugby fans to book their low-fare Ryanair seats now to avoid missing out."

Ryanair Signs Sustainable Fuel Agreement With Repsol

The above news follows news that Ryanair has signed a Memo of Understanding (MOU) with global energy group Repsol.

According to a separate statement published on Corporate.Ryanair.com, the purpose of the MOU is to advance the supply of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) at Ryanair airports in Spain and Portugal, with the agreement with between the two companies giving Ryanair access to up to 155,000 tonnes (52 million gallons) of SAF between 2025 and 2030, which will save approximately 490,000 tonnes in CO2 emissions.
