Ryanair Traffic Grows 11% To 13.1m Customers

By Dave Simpson

Ryanair has released new traffic statistics for September, indicating that total traffic grew 11% to 13.1 million with a 97% load factor.

Specific Statistics

Breaking down the data, Ryanair specific traffic grew 6% to 12.6 million customers with a 97% load factor while Lauda traffic totalled 0.5 million customers with a 93% load factor. The growth in passenger numbers occurred despite the cancellations of over 400 flights in September due to two days of pilot and cabin crew strikes.

Ryanair’s Kenny Jacobs commented, "During the entire month of September, while we cancelled just over 400 flights, we completed over 68,000 scheduled flights with more than 80% of these flights arriving on time as Ryanair continues to deliver the lowest fares, with the best punctuality of any major EU airline.”
