Ryanair's Passenger Traffic Increased Year On Year In June

Ryanair has released its traffic statistics for June, revealing that the total number of passengers the company carried last month increased by 1.5 million, or 9%, year on year to 17.4 million from 15.9 million in June 2022.

Number Of Flights Operated And Load Factor

Ryanair operated more than 96,250 flights last month, with a load factor of 95%, which was the same load factor percentage as June 2022.

Rolling Annual Data

Ryanair's rolling 12-month traffic increased by 29% year on year to 173.4 million passengers last month from 134.5 million in June 2022, and its rolling 12-month load factor increased by 8% to 94%, from 86% in the same month last year.

Knock Airport Gets New Ryanair Service To Tenerife

The above news follows news from last week that Ireland West Airport Knock has welcomed the announcement of a new service to Tenerife, operated by Ryanair.

According to a statement published on IrelandWestAirport.com, the new Ryanair service to Tenerife will operate weekly and commence on Thursday 2 November 2023, as part of Ryanair’s biggest-ever Knock winter schedule, which will increase its route network capacity by 15% and include services to Lanzarote and Málaga, as well as increased capacity on several UK services, including those to Liverpool and London Luton.

The new Tenerife service will be the first time that weekly flights to the island have been restored since January 2020.

The statement published on IrelandWestAirport.com quoted its managing director, Joe Gilmore, as saying, "We are delighted to welcome today's announcement of the return of a Tenerife service for winter 2023. Tenerife has always been a hugely popular destination amongst our customer base, and we are delighted to be able to welcome Tenerife back to our route network for this coming winter season."
