Tourism Ireland Welcomes New Great Dane Airlines Route Between Dublin And Aalborg

Tourism Ireland has welcomed the official launch of a new Great Dane Airlines route between Dublin and Aalborg in Denmark.

The new route, which was first announced in March, will operate twice weekly between now and July 26, and weekly between the end of July and October 15.

"Good News For Irish Tourism"

Tourism Ireland CEO Niall Gibbons commented, "The new Great Dane Airlines service between Aalborg and Dublin is good news for Irish tourism. We look forward to co-operating with Great Dane to maximise the promotion of this new flight. As an island, the importance of convenient, direct, non-stop flights cannot be overstated. They are absolutely critical to achieving growth in inbound tourism.

"In 2018, we welcomed almost 75,000 Danish arrivals to Ireland. For 2019, we are rolling out an extensive programme of promotional activity in Denmark to build on that success."
