Seven travel agents from the United Arab Emirates enjoyed a fact-finding visit around Ireland last week as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland. Specially timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of Etihad Airways' operations from Abu Dhabi to Ireland, the visit was organised in conjunction with Etihad, Amadeus and Leading Hotels of the World.
The aim of last week's visit was to really enthuse the travel agents about our superb tourism offering and to showcase some of our top hotels, attractions and experiences. Their itinerary included The K Club, Kildare Village, a hawk walk at Ashford Castle, falconry at Adare Manor, The Merrion and the Guinness Storehouse.
