Wizz Air Upgrades Annual Profit Forecast

European low-cost airline Wizz Air has upgraded its annual profit forecast after a strong third quarter during which it carried more passengers.

Wizz, which focusses on central and eastern Europe, said that it now expects full-year profits for the 12 months to the end of March to come in between €350 million and €355 million, up from a previous forecast of between €335 million and €350 million.

Benefitting From Strong Demand

European short-haul airlines have benefited from strong travel demand in recent months, with Ryanair and easyJet both upgrading their outlooks in January.
