Anantara The Marker Dublin Hotel Opens

Over 200 guests attended a gold-themed party that celebrated the official opening of the Anantara The Marker Dublin hotel, in Dublin’s Docklands.

Party

The party was hosted by Michael Davern, general manager of Anantara The Marker Dublin, and executive chef Gareth Mullins.

Broadcaster, fashionista and influencer Lorraine Keane was the MC for the evening and spoke on stage with the various Anantara The Marker Dublin ‘gurus’.

GM Davern said, “We are very excited that Anantara has made its debut in Ireland. It’s an ultra-luxurious brand which celebrates and works with genuine and authentic visitor experiences, people and places.”

Camilla Coburn Davis, director of PR for Anantara Europe, was on hand to present 13 vouchers to guests who won weekend breaks in some of the other Anantara destinations on the Continent, including Amalfi, Nice, Rome, Budapest, Amsterdam, Vilamoura and Marbella, among others.

Since Anantara has taken over what was previously known as the Marker Hotel, all of the venue’s 187 bedrooms have been renovated, the bar and public areas have been reimagined, and a brand-new restaurant called Forbes Street by Gareth Mullins will open in the coming weeks.

Famous Faces

Famous faces at the launch event included multi-Oscar-nominated film-maker Jim Sheridan, broadcasters Pat Kenny and Maïa Dunphy, influencers and fashionistas Marietta Doran and Celia Holman Lee, former RTÉ presenter Mary Kennedy, Virgin Media’s Martin King and Muireann O’Connell, fashion designer Deborah Veale, and RTÉ broadcaster Sharon Ní Bheoláin.
