Athlone Springs Hotel On Market for €3.5m

Athlone Springs Hotel has been put on the market by CBRE Hotels estate agents with a guide price in excess of €3.5 million.

The 68-bedroom hotel, located in Shannonside midland town, is offered for sale on the instructions of Aengus Burns, Grant Thornton and in conjunction with the owners. The sale offers investors an opportunity to acquire a profitable Irish Midlands four-star hotel with excellent conference and banqueting facilities, leisure club with pool and gym, restaurant and bar as well as extensive car parking.

It also offers many local tourist attractions and amenities including Athlone Castle; the Luan Gallery; Athlone Equestrian Centre; golf courses; the Shannon Banks Nature Trail Walk; Belvedere House & Gardens; and the Kilbeggan Distillery.

"Athlone Springs Hotel has established itself as a successful and profitable hotel business. The hotel serves a large and well populated hinterland with Athlone being a thriving tourist and commercial base and is home to the only third level college in the Midlands region, including an international indoor running track. Strong activity in the hotel sector has continued with more than €800 million of Irish hotel transactions completed in 2016," said Lisa Keogh, senior analyst at CBRE Hotels.
