Ballymaloe House Reports Profit For 2015

Newly filed accounts for Yeats Room Limited, the company behind Ballymaloe House in Cork, show a recorded profit of €24,238 for the 12 months ending October 31 2015, as accumulated profits rose from €2.14 million in 2014 to €2.16 million last year.

The Ballymaloe country house hotel and restaurant had previously recorded a loss of €185,933 in 2013 and an accumulated profit of €2.4 million in 2014. Despite the rise in profit, its number of employees remains at 45 and it has also maintained employee costs at €1.6 million, reports The Irish Times.

Last year saw Ballymaloe House named one of the best hotels in the world by Condé Nast Traveller, being the only Irish property to win a position on the travel publication's Gold List 2015.

Accounts filed for the company's other business, Ballymaloe Cookery School, showed an increase in accumulated profits to €2.58 million, a jump of 68 per cent since 2010.
