A new report entitled "The Belfast Hotel Market Snapshot" by agents Lambert Smith Hampton has revealed that an additional 1,170 hotel rooms have come on stream in Belfast this year in the wake of a development boom.

According to The Irish Independent, the report states that the city's hotel room supply has been boosted by 47% in 2018, with average daily room rates being up 25% to £81.65 per room.

Openings And Extensions

Hotel openings in Belfast this year have included the Grand Central Hotel, EasyHotel Belfast, Ireland's first Hampton by Hilton, The Flint and the AC Marriott while a number of venues also increased their pre-existing bedroom stock, including the city's Fitzwilliam Hotel, which underwent a refurbishment that involved the addition of 23 extra bedrooms and the Holiday Inn Express of University Street, which completed a £5 million, 60-bedroom extension in June.
