Co. Antrim's Hedges Hotel Taken Over By A Receiver

The Hedges Hotel of Co. Antrim has been taken over by a receiver.

As reported by The Belfast Telegraph, documents filed with the UK's registrar of companies, Companies House, indicate that the hotel has been taken over by an accountancy firm that's based in England.

A Bid To Profit From Game Of Thrones Tourism

The hotel was purchased by property developer Stephen Gray and a business partner in 2017 in a bid to profit from the popularity of Game of Thrones tourism.

The hotel is located yards from Co. Antrim's Dark Hedges site, which was featured in Game of Thrones.

Other papers filed for Dark Hedges Limited indicate that Gray stood down as a director of the company in May of this year.
