Co. Kildare's K Club Hotel & Golf Resort Applies For Planning Permission To Build New Ballroom And Meeting Rooms

Co. Kildare's K Club Hotel & Golf Resort has applied to Kildare County Council for planning permission to build a 16,000 square foot ballroom and new meeting rooms.

According to The Irish Times, in addition to seeking permission to build a ballroom and new meetings rooms, The K Club is also planning to remove a swimming pool, and it is believed that future building plans could include a refurbishment of the resort's golf clubhouse.

New Chief Executive

The new developments at The K Club will be overseen by former Adare Manor general manager Paul Heery, who the resort's new owner, TLC Nursing Home Group operator Michael Fetherston, has appointed as its chief executive.

Fetherston acquired The K Club in February of this year for a figure that is believed to have been between €65 million and €70 million.

Heery stepped down as general manager of Co. Limerick's Adare Manor in September of this year.
