By Publications Checkout

Dalata Hotel Group has revealed that, in collaboration with another party, it has entered exclusive discussions to acquire operating interests in, and to commit, a leasehold interest in Double Tree by Hilton Hotel in Dublin 4, the landmark hotel formerly known as The Burlington.

A statement from Dalata said the potential transaction is "subject to further due diligence and there can be no certainty at this time that a transaction will proceed" and the group will update shareholders as appropriate.

The potential transaction may also be subject to the approval of Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC).

In April, Dalata seemingly ruled itself out of the running for the Double Tree by Hilton Hotel after chief executive Pat McCann (pictured) said the board met and decided against entering the bidding process.

Earlier this week, Dalata posted revenue per available room (RevPAR) growth of +19.4% yoy to €127.56 for July.
