New figures from hotel market data company STR have revealed that the average cost of a hotel room outside of Dublin rose by over 8% in July compared to the same month last year.
According to The Irish Times, STR’s data indicates that hotel room occupancy outside of the capital decreased 1.8% to 85.2% in July while the average daily room rate rose 8.1% to €130.87. Meanwhile, revenue per available room (RevPAR) increased 6.2% to €111.45.
Dublin And The Republic As A Whole
Occupancy in Dublin was down during the month, decreasing 0.6% to 90.1% while the average daily room rate rose 5.3% to €158.45 and RevPAR increased 4.7% to €142.76.
