InterContinental Dublin Appoint New GM

The InterContinental Dublin hotel has appointed Clement Gaffney as its new general manager.

Gaffney previously worked as for the Hanly group as director of its Lough Rynn and Kilronan hotels, in Co. Leitrim and Co. Roscommon, respectively.

Prior to that, Gaffeny worked in senior management roles in the Westbury, Jury's Ballsbridge and Jury's at London, Heathrow. He has a total of 25 years' of experience in hotel management.

A native of Co. Leitrim, Gaffney is a s a graduate of GMIT and completed a management programme at Cornell University, USA. He takes up the role next month.

The InterContinental, which operated as the Four Seasons from 2011 - 2014, was bought by a consortium backed by US billionaire John Malone for an estimated €50 million in March this year.
