The InterContinental Dublin has announced the promotion of John Lynch to the position of deputy general manager.
A graduate of The Shannon College of Hotel Management, Lynch completed his fourth year placement in the US with Marriott Hotels and following graduation has held senior positions in The Shelbourne and Conrad Hotels.
Born in Dublin, he joined the InterContinental over three years ago and has held the positions of director of rooms and director of operations previously.
"It gave me great pleasure to promote John to deputy general manager recently, a position he has worked hard to attain," said Nicky Logue, general manager.
"John is very focused on the highest of five-star standards and is extremely guest focused. I know that he, along with our great team, will build on the success of the hotel over the coming years.”
The InterContinental Dublin is part of the MHL Collection and is based in Ballsbridge.
