Martin Keane Plans 50-Bedroom Boutique Hotel In Ballsbridge, Dublin

By Dave Simpson

Owner of Bloom's hotel and Temple Bar's Oliver St John pub, Martin Keane, has revealed that he intends to open a new boutique hotel on the south side of Dublin city.

The Irish Times reports that while Keane has yet to submit an application for planning permission to Dublin City Council, his proposal involves transitioning a pair of adjoining Georgian houses he owns on Pembroke Road into a hotel with approximately 50 bedrooms.

Keane stated that should the hotel be given the green light, it will not operate under the banner of any big international brands.
