New Belfast Boutique Hotel Gets Planning Approval

Plans to develop a new 'boutique travel hotel' in Belfast city centre have been handed the green light.

Located at Bank Square in the city, beside the Mourne Seafood Bar and Kelly’s Cellars, the new four-storey development will also include a ground floor restaurant.

As reported by the Belfast Telegraph, councillor Peter Johnston, Chair of Belfast City Council's Planning Committee said: "We are pleased to see Belfast’s tourism infrastructure being further boosted by these two developments as our city’s popularity as a visitor destination continues to grow."

The application was been made by Cedarr Properties Ltd and it's understood MM Developments will lead the build.

Meanwhile, planning permission was also granted for a four storey 60 bedroom extension to the Holiday Inn Express on University Street in Belfast.
