Metro Hotel Up For Sale

The three-star Metro Hotel at Santry Cross in Ballymun, Dublin 9, has recently been put on the market, with Savills looking for somewhere in the region of €2.5 million for the property.

Along with the 88 bedroom hotel, Savills are seeking €3 million for 30 two-bed apartments on the upper floors of the property. Combined, the 15-storey apartment block and hotel will be sold in either one or three lots.

The project was developed eight years ago by Pierse Contracting and a group of investors who included businessman Paddy Kelly. Many of Kelly's assets are now controlled by NAMA.

The three-star hotel originally traded as Days Inn and has been consistently profitable over the years and according to the Irish Times, turnover generally runs close to €2 million.

The hotel includes a bar, a restaurant and is located close to Dublin Airport, Dublin City University as well as the M1 and M50 motorways.
